How to use BuildCalc calculators

Choose a tool, enter your project measurements, review the result and confirm the final amount with your material supplier.

Step 1: Measure the project

Measure length, width and depth using the unit shown beside each field. For irregular areas, divide the project into smaller rectangles and add the results together.

Step 2: Add waste or overage

Cutting, spillage, uneven ground and material variation can affect the final quantity. Use the allowance option where available.

Step 3: Verify before buying

Use the result for planning and budgeting. Ask your supplier to confirm product coverage, bag yield, density and delivery requirements.
